Glue books vs. Junk Journals vs. Scrapbooks vs. Craft books vs. Art Journal

There are many of craft projects out there that are very similar when it comes to scapbooking. I have heard many different explanations for what is considered a scrapbook verses a junk journal versus an art journal, etc..       What I have come to the conclusion is the following...       A scrapbook is a photo album that tells a story. it can have writing describing the photos and what they are about and even little mementos like cards, receipts, ticket stubs, etc.. You can choose to do your layouts however you want.  You can create your own, just using your imagination, or you can search online search engines or websites like pinterest for ideas. There are even pre-made pages that you can order online if you just want to add photos to paper.  When choosing a layout, decide on how many photos you would like on one page. You may choose to just one central photo or go with a page with several photos. Some scrapbookers like to crop photos to highlight main details and then surround that larger photo with a few smaller photos on the ...

Folding papers together and gluing little treasures to the pages. Perhaps you added "cool" stickers or art work and maybe even a story. Maybe you still have these childhood treasures but most likely they  have become faded or fallen apart.  Fortunately, scrapbooking techniques and tools have matured quite a bit since you were a kid.
